In an Attempt to See the World...
It makes me so sad that study abroad is coming on it's 3 year anniversary! However...
I was extremely lucky to have been able study abroad in Brno, Czech Republic in the spring of 2014. Over the course of 4 months, I had the opportunity to visit 17 cities, in 12 countries all across Europe.
It's hard to put into words what being able to study abroad meant to me. I learned so much about Europe and every country's individual cultures (which I was surprised to find varied greatly from one to the other) but also about myself. My father is a Czech emigre and I always wanted to feel connected to that side of my heritage, but never had the opportunity to. With study abroad, I was able to finally immerse myself in that culture and experience what modern day Czech life is like.
I cataloged by travels through photography. Everywhere I went, my Canon DSLR Eos Rebel went with me. Feel free to peruse the entire gallery to the right.
